Well, hello there. This is a book, that is coming out in April, that I will read. You should too.
If you’ve read Chris’s blog, you know that the social psychology behind anti-intellectualism and denying reality is some fascinating stuff. He’s also the author of Unscientific America and The Republican War on Science.
(Yes, I know the title doesn’t match the image. What I typed above is the final title, straight from Chris Mooney’s mouth)
Brief update on the Beaver Brook tumblr theme in progress:
- I added photo captions, now they appear when you rollover an image.
- I want to submit it to the theme store, but Tumblr requires that themes support all post types (chat, audio, etc), which I haven’t had time (or interest, given this is photoblog) to build.
- Do you have a theme in the Tumblr store and are you interested to help me wrap this up? There seems to be a lot of folks who want to use this theme and I’d love to get it to them — you could help! MSG me.
Was thinking it would be cool to own a Polaroid camera, and I found this, the Polaroid Z340. It prints 4x3 photos in under a minute, has room for 10 photo sheets, and you can buy 30-packs for $17.50 (on Amazon). Bad news is the battery will die after taking and printing about 25 shots. Good news is there’s an SD card so you can keep the digital photos and get them printed again.
This would make for a fun hour with some friends.
In the clip for “Sprawl II,” you can control the dance moves of creepy suburban drones using your webcam, but there’s more to the video than just its novelty.
We spoke with Arcade Fire collaborator Vincent Morisset to find out more about how Dancing In The Sprawl was created.
